enjoy the journey with dolli & chris
About Us
Hi, we’re Dolli & Chris. We truly love this journey called life! When we married in 2006, we blended our family of 5 daughters ages 2, 3, 9, 10 & 13… & it was not easy. We tried to pour our core values of faith, family & education into our girls. 17 years later & our family continues to grow. Our girls are now young women ages 19, 20, 26, 27 & 30. We’ve added 3 sons-in-law & 1 perfect granddaughter.
In 2014, Chris was diagnosed with stage-3 cancer & we feared our journey together would end way too soon. Luckily, with great doctors & lots of prayer, after radiation & chemo, Chris was healed & has been cancer-free for 9 years. The gift that cancer gave us was the realization that life is precious & short, & none of us are promised tomorrow.
Many people have a bucket list of places to go & things to see & do… intending to get around to it some day. Sadly, some day never comes & all they are left with is a list. After Chris’ battle with cancer, we decided our some day is now. Our motto became “Take the trip now!” And so, our adventurous wanderlust journey began!
We hope you’ll enjoy the journey with us & perhaps be inspired to start a new journey of your own!

- Almost Home & More Random Thoughts from the RoadMy Harley was a gift from my late father-in-law. He bought it new 25 years ago in 1998. When I got it 20 years later, he had only put about 4000 miles on it. As I loaded it up on the trailer to drive home, he said, “Enjoy the bike, but you guys be safe.”… Read more: Almost Home & More Random Thoughts from the Road
